What is a Toy Aussie?
Toy Aussies are a designer breed that is not recognized by the AKC, as the only way to reduce the size of a Miniature Australian Shepherd is to pair them with a toy breed. We set ourselves apart because we breed for temperament and we want you to have all the information about how we make that smaller size and charming personality happen!
Our small size puppies are thanks to our handsome, royal and most loving living Teddy Bear!!
Ruby AKC Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Our Toy Breed choice is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to bring the most charming Toy Aussies to Arizona. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are often called, “the Golden Retriever of small dogs.” They are incredibly loving, sweet and gentle. We believe this is the best pairing that will make them perfect for the average family home in terms of activity level, friendliness and their affectionate nature. Cavaliers are confident and relaxed companions who absolutely adore their humans.
Our Cavalier’s average size: Males 16-18lb Females: 9-12lb
About Miniature Australian Shepherds
Miniature Australian Shepherds are some of the most intelligent and highly trainable dogs you will ever meet! They learn so fast and are incredibly loyal. Our Minis were selected for conformation as well as their low herding drive and highly pet friendly traits. Our girls are our little shadows. Mini Aussies just love hanging out and want to do whatever you do! They are so well behaved and are happy to mimic your routine.
Our pairings are carefully selected to produce loving, loyal and highly trainable companions.

Our puppies are raised in a clean, family environment using the highest standard of early socialization, best practices and LOVE. You can be sure that your pup has been well cared for and cherished from conception to when you hold them in your arms.

Our Puppy Care
Our pups are litterbox trained from the time they begin weaning so that they always have a clean area to sleep, play and eat. They are raised on fresh, clean vet bedding to provide traction for their growing joints and to prevent the slip and slide effect of hard floors. We feed them high quality puppy food with real ingredients and probiotics. All our dogs even drink the same filtered water we do! They have a huge variety of toys and chews and are given full time attention and care.
Early Socialization makes a BIG difference
We begin our socialization at 3 days old with the puppy culture program, which is daily activities to be sure they are confident and well-adjusted when they come to you! This includes getting them acclimated to toe touch, a variety of stimulation and sounds and much more.

Tabby is a reputable breeder of AKC Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and an Honest breeder of Designer Toy Australian Shepherds. The mission of Charming Mini’s is to give the gift of affectionate and well-tempered Toy Aussies to the communities of Arizona and Southern California. Charming Mini’s is located in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona for better weather year ’round, but puppy pickup is located in Gilbert, Arizona with delivery to Corona, California and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on select dates.
About Me
I grew up on a lovely 6 acre ranch in Gavilan Hills, California outside of Corona, California. My family was one of the first AKC breeders of Border Collies in the 90’s, which gave me a love for the intelligence of shepherd breeds. Our breed has been Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for about 15 years and they have stolen my heart. Cuddling them melts your heart and I truly believe that they are the most affectionate small breed dog.
I worked in special education for many years but have since left the city for a simpler life. I want my step kids to have the same experience that I had growing up in tune with nature, enjoying lots of quality time as a family and the hands-on learning of the ag field that only comes from experience raising animals. My passion is ensuring that well-loved and properly raised pets continue to be available to those who need one.
Your dog should be pure love and light and your choice influences at least the next decade of your life. My goal is to be sure that you have a loving companion available to you, raised by a family who cares.
